To further promote its commitment towards the use of clean fuel and promote electric vehicles the Govt. India has invited china become a partner. India in its plan to curb pollution and promote cleaner fuels, have invited chinese industries to participate and invest in the Indian vehicles market. NITI Aayog principal advisor Anil Srivastav led an industry delegation from India to China and met China EV100 president, Chen Qingtai. He was there to invite China to participate in India`s plans to change its transport into full electric mobility. Recent figures show that New Energy Vehicles which includes both electric and hybrid, have grown substantially over the past one year, despite a global slowdown in the car manufacturing market. According to Srivastav, China and India together have a huge market for Electric vehicles and given the size, there is a huge cooperation potential for companies of both countries. Chen has welcomed the chinese EV players to invest in the Indian Electric Vehicles market and expects Electric Vehicles sales to be 30 percent of the the total sale in the year 2030, with 25.36 million EVs and 59,.17 million Internal Combustion Engines (IECs).
