Airbus India to expand in India |
Leading aircraft manufacturer Airbus is planning to increase its sourcing base from India for the manufacture of its planes. Presently, the company has around 38 supply chain partners in the country. The European major has signed a single source Tier-I supplier agreement with Bengaluru-based Dynamatic Technologies as the single source supplier of flap-track beams for the A-330 aircraft. Airbus claims that this is its largest manufacturing deal with any private sector player in the country. Airbus sourcing from India over past nine years has grown 12-folds and $400 million worth sourcing was done from India in 2014. India is one of the fastest aviation growth markets in the world and it will be one of the largest in the next 20 years.
