Gabbard votes against Pak aid |
U.S. Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard says she voted against the Bill for grant of military assistance to Pakistan in the U.S. Congress. She was asked about the approval last month by the U.S. Congress for $1 billion military assistance to Pakistan as part of the Defence Authorisation Bill and said these were the complications of democracies. Talking on the `Future of Indo-U.S. relations` organised by India Foundation in Goa recently, Gabbard said that there were areas of disagreement between India and the U.S., but there were greater areas of agreement. She said quote `The sayings in the Gita are my life and soul. In my experience it is the perfect textbook` end quote. She is on the last lap of her 15-day visit to India.
