Nepal rebuild more than $10 bn |
Rebuilding Nepal after the 25 April 2015 earthquake will cost more than US$ 10 billion and could take decades. Nepal Finance Minister Ram S Mahat said the government is struggling to save those still trapped more than 72 hours. The death toll has already exceeded 4,300 and could climb to 10,000. In related news, the after-effect of the quake has been rain and thunderstorm in several parts of Uttar Pradesh early on April 28 that left 16 people dead. In neighbouring Bihar, a thunder squall and moderate rain in many parts caused fresh panic among people. Also, two missing Indian doctors from Kerala were found dead at a hospital in earthquake-hit Kathmandu. The relatives of A S Irshad and Deepak K Thomas identified the bodies at the Tribuvan University Teaching Hospital.
