Top aide shuns Manmohan |
Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh reportedly feels let down and abandoned as a former top aide during his prime ministerial days has shunned him at a time when Singh is being questioned by CBI in the coal scam. The official who shunned Singh owed his very existence in the top office of the UPA government to Singh. The person was a key officer in Prime Minister Office and did not answer his telephone calls when the former Prime Minister tried to contact him just before January 17, 2015, when CBI questioned Singh in connection with the decision to allocate the Talabira coal block to Hindalco. Singh reportedly wanted to brush up on developments leading to the allocation before his session with the CBI team. However, the officer did not come on line nor did he call back.
