US to monitor India air quality |
The United States announced it was expanding an air-quality monitoring program it started in Beijing years ago to other cities around the world, starting with India. Under the program called AirNow, US mission will monitor air-quality in host cities and countries to help personnel posted to take better care of themselves. Secretary of state John Kerry announced the program as an agreement between his department and the Environment Protection Agency, with India as the first destination. Vietnam would be next.
