President Ram Nath Kovind says that the Indian Diaspora world over are India`s cultural ambassadors. He was speaking at valedictory ceremony of the 15t Pravasi Bhartiya divas. It was a moment of great pride for the Indian Diaspora when the Indian President Ram NAth Kovind delivered the valedictory address at the 15th Pravasi BHaratiya Divas. President said that the diaspora is commanding global heights today and is our cultural ambassador. The President said, India today, is a land of billion ideas and billion opportunities. The President also conferred the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman on 30 members of Indian diaspora for their significant contribution to the society. The convention was attended by more than 7000 participants this year and the convention was an attempt to show them the glimpses of the changing and growing India. India wants to leverage the technology & investment of NRIs to power various programmes of the Central government like Make in India, Digital India, Clean India and Skill India. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, new programmes have been initiated to bring Indians and Indian-origin people living abroad closer to their country.
