India Africa Day Gala - 3 |
The India Africa Day Gala on 22nd April 2016 in New Delhi is the fourth celebration by ASAHOM in Delhi. All African Missions in India celebrate the growing India Africa Friendship that has been further strengthened with the India Africa Forum Summit III in October 2015. It is noteworthy that United Nations shared an exhibit titled ‘Africans In India’. Also, Government of India’s Technology Development Board showcased the fact that it is embarking upon a unique partnership to bring Indian innovation and technology to Africa, together with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Similarly, exhibits marked India as Medical Treatment hub, with also Indian Universities offering global standard education. Among other exhibitors included big and medium Indian companies investing in Africa and those offering products and services. Among the event highlights were the Africa Fashion Show was scintillating, with participants, designs, dresses, prints from across Africa that represent the tapestry, beauty, colors, music, dance and more of a vibrant progressive Africa. Countries represented included: Angola, Cote D’Ivorie, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Gambia, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, and, Senegal.
