India Africa Day Gala - 4 |
The India Africa Day Gala on 22nd April 2016 in New Delhi featured cultural performances by children, men and women from Delhi and surrounding states. Among those featured on dais were persons representing charities that ASAHOM supports and the proud ASAHOM Committee members. There were several sponsors – NDMC, FICCI, EP Services, CPG Group, RajwarahJewellers, Sharada University,Kapoor Photography, Krest Publications, OIA,ShapoorjiPallonji, MEC, SRS, DIMTS, BLK Hospital, MedantaMedicity;and raffle included prizes donated by Ethiopian Airlines, Leela Hotels Delhi. It was a wonderful day of a celebration of the growing people to people and government to government connect between India and Africa. The celebration promotes cultural connect through rich display of traditional music, costumes and dances, African cuisine - a platform to discover Africa in India. Besides, an exhibition by Indian Enterprises promotesIndian business with Africa. It is an informal yet valuable setting with a free atmosphere to mingle, network, understand each other and celebrate togetherness. The Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of Trade & Commerce, Ministry of Home Affairs and other central Ministries, Indian Public Sector, State Governments, Indian institutions and businesses showcase and strengthen the business connect through the event.
