India’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has expanded rhe connect of country’s capital New Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line from Samaypur Badli to Sonipat in Haryana. Real estate prices are currently remaining relatively lower than in central NCR hubs such as Gurugram or Noida. Sonipat presents compelling entry points for first-time homebuyers, mid-income families seeking larger living spaces, and new entrepreneurs looking for affordable commercial locations. Indian Govt feels that commute to Delhi is becoming faster more seamless. So, Sonipat has the potential to mirror Gurugram’s early high-growth trajectory within the National Capital Region. Sonipat is also a strategic industrial node under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). It is becoming a hub for logistics parks, warehousing zones, and export-oriented industrial expansion. The extension of the Delhi Metro to Sonipat is warranted.
