IndiGo to operate only from Terminal 1 & Terminal 3 in Delhi
Overseas Indians flying to India in big numbers during upcoming spring and summer holidays must note that India’s biggest low budget airlines, IndiGo, will now be operating from Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 in Delhi. IndiGo has moved all its flights from Terminal 2 for now to the recently renovated Terminal 1 at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi. IndiGo will operate more than 200 daily departures from Terminal 1. Peter Elbers, CEO, IndiGo said the airline said it had ensured assistance to passengers to get them to the right terminal. IndiGo flights that operated from Terminal 3 will continue from the same terminal. This temporary shift comes ahead of a busy period at Delhi Airport is necessitated due to renovation of Terminal 2 along with upgradation of Instrumental Landing System (ILS) of a runway to enhance landings and take-offs during low visibility conditions. Terminal 2 may re-open for operations after summer of 2025.
