India-Bangladesh joint projects |
In order to strengthen bilateral relations and increasing business opportunities with in the neighbouring countries, PM Narendra Modi along with his counterpart, Bangladesh`s PM Sheikh Hasina inaugurated half a dozen development projects within Bangladesh. The two prime ministers joined the video-conferencing from their offices in Dhaka and New Delhi and jointly inaugurated the four projects by unveiling the e-plaques. Projects associated to healthcare, drinking water supply, public transport will enable greater connectivity and community welfare inside Bangladesh. Both the leaders unveiled e-plaques for the supply of buses and trucks, the inauguration of 36 community clinics, 11 water treatment plants, and extension of National Knowledge Network to Bangladesh. Speaking on the occasion Ms Hasina said that the relations between Dhaka and New Delhi is now a "role model" of good neighbours for the rest of the world as a result of multifaceted and multi-dimensional cooperation. Mr. Modi said Ms. Hasina`s vision is the biggest inspiration for stronger connectivity between India and Bangladesh. He said these unveilings will boost not just transport connectivity, but also knowledge connectivity.
