Indian stocks continue to slide |
With weak global markets and concerning foreign outflows, BSE Sensex ended 135 points lower, closing at 51,360.42 while NSE Nifty slipped below 15,300 points to close at 15,293.50. Synchronised global monetary tightening and fears of economic slowdown has dominated the market trends in Asian markets of Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai. Some of the stocks in Nifty 50 saw 6-41 percent fall in their values. As many 8 stocks have cumulatively wiped out Rs. 12.76 lakh crore of investor wealth. These stocks are majorly from technology, finance or banking industry and have big weights in the index.
