Nokia CEO Pekka Lundmark met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on March 13 and discussed how the brand is contributing to India`s 5G journey among other key issues. After the meeting, the Nokia CEO shared a picture with the Prime Minister and tweeted that it was his `privilege to meet with Prime Minister Modi and discuss nokia`s contribution to India`s 5G journey and next phase of digital transformation and to support India`s6G ambitions.` Modi also retweeted the post and called the meeting fruitful, having discussed leveraging technology for the welfare of society. Modi also confirmed the discussions on India`s strides in building next generation digital infrastructure. Nokia Corporation is a Finnish multinational telecommunications company, which has been an integral part of India`s remarkable progress in technology and connectivity over the last 27 years. They have witnessed several remarkable milestones, including launching 2G/GSM technology in early 2000, bringing 3G services in 2011, pioneering 4G/LTE technology in 2012, and introducing 5G to India in 2022.
