Aamir Khan for ‘Taare Zameen Par’ free on YouTube to promote sequel
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has unveiled his best teaser for his upcoming ‘Sitaare Zameen Par.’ Aamir has announced he will release the prequel ‘Taare Zameen Par’ free for a couple of weeks on his own YouTube. Aamir also said the sequel ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ would not be seen immediately on any OTT platform after its theatrical release. This is a good promotional strategy for the film. Notably, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is as sequel to Aamir’s hit film ‘Taare Zameen Par.’ Aamir organized a Taare Zameen Par Fan Meetup featuring the team of the 2007 classic. It gathered hundreds of fans. ‘Taare Zameen Par’ has not been available on any streaming platform, Aamir Khan revealed during the event. He went on to say he has started a YouTube channel called ‘Aamir Khan Talkies’ and will upload ‘Taare Zameen Par’ free of cost and offer it to viewers free for 1-2 weeks. Aamir was joined at rhe event by the ‘Taare Zameen Par’ caste - Darsheel Safary, Tisca Chopra and Vipin Sharma. Darsheel was 8 years old when the film was made. Vipin Sharma said as an unmarried man he didn’t know the emotions as a family but Darsheel gave him the experience to feel like a father.
