Akshay, Riteish reunite in Housefull 5 releasing 6 June |
Bolkywood superstar Akshay Kumar and star Ritesh Deshmukh come back together in what`s a rare Bollywood or Hollywood achievement of the fifth installment of the a highly successful franchise. `Housefull 5` is helmed by Tarun Mansukhani, and is the first-ever Indian film franchise to have five installments. Set on a luxury cruise liner, the film has an ensemble caste. Akshay, Ritesh, Chunkey Pandey have been constant in all the previous 4 parts. The first instalment `Housefull` was in 2010 was a hit, and starred Akshay, Riteish, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal and Boman Irani. `Housefull 2` in 2012 and included a stellar cast of Akshay, Ritiesh, John Abraham, Shreyas Talpade, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty and Asin. The first two films were helmed by director Sajid Khan. `Housefull 3` in 2016 had director duo Sajid Samji and Farhad Samji. Director Farhad Samji helmed the fourth part. `Housefull 5` is said to make you roll on the floor laughing. The teaser was released on 30 April 2025.
Known for its trademark mix of slapstick humor, eccentric characters, and extravagant settings, each film in the series has managed to outdo the last in terms of scale and star power. With this latest chapter, the franchise raises the bar even higher. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film promises five times the laughter and non-stop family entertainment. As the teaser suggests, `Housefull 5` could well be the biggest entertainer during summer vacations of 2025. `Housefull 5` is ready to sail on June 6 on waves of laughter.
