The prestigious Zee Cine Awards 2023 ceremony took place in Mumbai on February 26 and the starry night was attended by several Bollywood celebrities. The attendees included veteran actors Anil Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kartik Aaryan, and Kriti Sanon. During the awards ceremony, newlywed Kiara Advani also walked the red carpet. The actor ruled the red carpet in a stunning red sheer gown. Actress Alia Bhatt emerged as the top winner at the awards night winning Best Actress in both the popular and jury categories for " Gangubai Kathiawadi" and "Darlings", respectively. Kartik Aaryan won the Best Actor (Male) for `Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2`. Vivek Agnihotri`s `The Kashmir Files` won the award for best film and best screenplay. Anupam Kher won the Best Actor (Viewers` Choice) award for the same film. South Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna who made her debut in Bollywood this year won the Best Debut for `Goodbye`. Other notable awards went to "Darlings" for Best Film in the Jury category. Best Music went to Pritam for Brahmastra. The best Background score was won by Sachin-Jigar for "Bhediya". The best Supporting Actor Male award was bagged by Anil Kapoor for "Jugjugg Jeeyo" while Best Supporting Actress was won by Sheeba Chadha for "Doctor G". Varun Dhawan won the Performer Of The Year Male award for "JugJugg Jeeyo" and "Bhediya", while Kiara Advani won the Performer Of The Year Female for "Jugjugg Jeeyo" and "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2".
