There is a fashion for biopics in Bollywood these days. Kareena Kapoor Khan has agreed to star in Shah Rukh Khan`s `Salute`, soon after her success in `Veere Di Wedding`. `Salute` is based on astronaut Rakesh Sharma. This will mark the collaboration of Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena on the screen after `Ra`. Rakesh Sharma was the first Indian to travel into space. This Mahesh Mathai directorial is likely to go on floors by the year-end. Another biopic is being made on a former national hockey captain. Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu are all set to team up for the first time on the big screen for `Soorma`. Taapsee Pannu will be seen portraying the role of Sandeep Singh aka Diljeet Singh`s love interest in the biopic. Produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh, and Deepak Singh, `Soorma` is slated to release on July 13, 2018.
