‘Dharmaveer 2’ in Marathi, Hindi on Aug 9 |
Super duper Bollywood star Salman Khan marked a massive release of the trailer of ‘Dharamveer 2’. What made the event special was Salman warmly hugging another legendary star Govinda at the event. Noteworthy that Salman had also attended the original Dharamveer’s trailer launch in 2022. Salman’s glamorous presence was not just a support for the original but he is credited being the film’s lucky charm because it went on to become a big hit. Others gracing the launch were Boman Irani, Siddharth Jadhav, Ashok Saraf, Jeetendra, Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, Govinda and Orry along with Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde and Hon. Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis. Before the Hindi dubbed trailer of ‘Dharmaveer 2’ was released, Salman greeted guests on the sets. Among those cherished moments was a warm hug from Sallu bhai to Govinda. Reason being, July 20th marks the day their memorable comic caper Partner (2007) was released in cinemas 17 years ago. Dharmaveer is based on the life of the late Anand Dighe, one of the most loved and respected leaders of Shiv Sena and Maharashtra. State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is the protégé of Anand Dighe. In the film Prasad Oak plays Anand Dighe, Eknath Shinde’s role is played by Kshitish Date.
