Diljit in SARDAAR JI 3 trailer out, film may avoid Indian cinema release
Bollywood is gearing up to welcome a rising star in globally acclaimed singer Diljit Dosanj. Trailer for ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ is making waves with the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir and the film’s release strategy. The 2-minute trailer was dropped on social media by Diljit Dosanj. A well-known Punjabi actress Neeru Bajwa is in this horror-comedy, but Hania Aamir plays a prominent role. The film is set in United Kingdom. The film will skip theatrical release in India and premiere abroad. Release date is 27 June 2025. Interestingly, the trailer is geo blocked on YouTube. Reportedly, industry associations had urged the CBFC to withhold certification for ‘Sardaar Ji 3,’ due to the inclusion of Pakistani actress, following “Operation Sindoor.” Diljit doesn’t agree and released the trailer with Hania in it. Sardaar Ji franchise has done well in the Punjabi market in India and especially overseas. The third in series is directed by Amar Hundal.
