The International Indian Film Academy Awards or the IIFA Awards as it is popularly known as is having a homecoming this year and will be held in tinseltown Mumbai. The precursor to the awards, IIFA Rocks event kicked off in Mumbai on Monday. The event saw the likes of several Bollywood personalities in attendance. Bollywood glam doll Katrina Kaif made a stunning appearance in backless red dress at the Green Carpet. National Award winner Vicky Kaushal was also seen at the event. Other stars included Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, Radhika Apte, Soundarya Sharma, Kabir Bedi, Rakul Preet Singh and Andhadhun director Sriram Raghavan. IIFA Rocks is an attempt at showcasing the best of what Bollywood has to offer to the world in terms of fashion, music as well as general entertainment. The night saw performances by Amit Trivedi, Salim-Sulaiman, Neha Kakkar, Jassi Gill, Dhvani Bhanushali, Ranjit Barot and Tulsi Kumar among others. It was hosted by Ali Fazal and Radhika Apte. The main event, IIFA Awards 2019, will be held on September 18. The ceremony will be hosted by Ayushmann Khurrana, and will take place in Mumbai. Andhadhun leads the nominations with 13 nods. Meghna Gulzar`s Raazi and Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s Padmaavat followed Andhadhun with 10 nominations each.
