Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the National Museum of Indian Cinema in the India`s city of dreams Mumbai. The event was attended by Veteran actor Manoj Kumar, Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan, Filmmakers Karan Johar, Madhur Bhandarkar, Rohit Shetty and Aanand L Rai and actress Poonam Dhillon and Kangana Ranaut. Prime Minister in his speech said there has been shift in the way films are made nowadays. Earlier films were made about the problems in the society, giving a voice to the common man, nowadays, solution to these problems are also hinted at. He urged filmmakers to make films on history as well as science and innovation. He asked film personalities to interact with youngsters, and tell them about their hardships and struggle before they made it big so as to inspire them. The prime minister mentioned that the museum has 30-hour-long digitised footage of World War II which will educate the youth about the valor of the Indian soldiers who died in that war. The museum has four halls named Gandhi and Cinema, Technology, Creativity and Indian Cinema, Children`s Film Studio and Cinema across India.
