THE VACCINE WAR - Indian Scientists create COVAXIN on war footing
“The Vaccine War” trailers showcases the work of dedicated Indian scientists working on a war footing to create the indigenous COVID-19 vaccine `Covaxin.` The trailer is a glimpse into the movie that`s being hailed as India`s first bio-science film. Director Vivek Agnihotri readies for the release of `The Vaccine War,` his second film just a year after the controversial film `The Kashmir Files`. `The Vaccine War` is the exceptional endeavour of scientists at Bharat Biotech and the National Institute of Virology of the Indian Council of Medical Research collaborated to create the vaccine. The 180-second trailer quickly introduces the main idea of the movie, with a prominent scientist, played by veteran Bollywood star Nana Patekar boldly proclaiming that they will develop a vaccine right from the start. He implores the higher-ups to keep it a closely-guarded secret out of concern for "national security”.
There`s an Indian TV journalist who asserts categorically, "No, India can`t do it.” The first image of the trailer shows a whiteboard with the words "Only science can win this war”. The vaccine is developed by Indian scientists despite the virus`s widespread fear and the many obstacles they must overcome. Patekar says "This is a war, and we are all soldiers.” "The Vaccine War” is written by Agnihotri himself and is produced by his actress wife Pallavi Joshi, and features Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Raima Sen, Pallavi Joshi, and Sapthami Gowda in pivotal parts. The film, slated for release on September 28, will be available in ten different languages.
