Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan touched hearts, made audience cry and smile with the film ‘Taare Zameen Par.’ The trailer of the sequel ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ promises to be more spiritual and emotional. The original is still fondly remembered as one of Bollywood’s finest films. Critics are already raving that the sequel is a heartwarming and joyful story, 18 years later! Aamir’s family entertainer, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is not just a sequel to the 2007 superhit ‘Taare Zameen Par.’ Its poster and then the much-awaited trailer project a film filled with love, laughter and happiness. The film carries the tagline “Sabka Apna Apna Normal”. Makers day this symbolises inclusivity. Trailer shows Aamir as a basketball coach to people with intellectual disabilities. It’s also a comedy with hilarious scenes. Aamir Khan Productions introduces ten debutant actors: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
Directed by R.S. Prasanna ‘Sitaare Zameen Par,’ marks his most ambitious project to date. Aamir is paired against lead actress Genelia Deshmukh. The songs are composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and the lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The background score is by Ram Sampath and the screenplay is written by Divy Nidhi Sharma. The film will be released in theatres on 20th June 2025.
