Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone in December 2015  posted a picture on Twitter with Hollywood actor Vin Diesel and a `xXx` poster in the background. Now, the director of the movie, D.J. Caruso, has confirmed during a chat on Twitter that she will indeed be a part of the cast. The filming will begin in January in Dominican Republic and Deepika is slated to join the cast in February.  Deepika will  play in this action franchise, starring Diesel in the title role of Xander Cage. The actress is expected to get into action mode for the film.  Apart from Deepika, Asian stars Jet Li and Tony Jaa and UFC star Conor McGregor have also been added to the cast of the film. The last offering "xXx: State of the Union," made with rapper Ice Cube in the lead, was a critical and box office failure. Diesel`s return, a rejigged cast and a new director are expected to give a new lease of life to the franchise.
