Dharmendra’s last film ‘Ikkis’ trailer shared by Sunny Deol with ‘Love you papa’

Veteran Bollywood superstar late Dharmendra’s last film, ‘Ikkis,’ will be released on 1st January 2026. Dharmendra’s son, Bollywood superstar Sunny Deol, released the trailer of ‘Ikkis’ on Instagram with the emotional caption quote, “Love you papa / Witness the true story of the youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee, a hero who was only 21 and became eternal - Second Lt. Arun Khetarpal.” end quote. Sunny announced that ‘Ikkis’ releases in cinemas on 1st January 2026. Thousands of fans of Dharmendra responded with emotional responses, of course showering love on the He-Man of Bollywood, as Dharmendra was known. For some fans, there was only ‘one Dharam Sir love’ who will live forever in memory. Dharmendra passed away in November 2025, just days before his 90th birthday. That’s why the original release date of ‘Ikkis’ was moved from 25th December to January 1, 2026. 

‘Ikkis’ is a war drama on the life and sacrifice of a young 21-year-old Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal who went on to win India’s highest military honor in the 1971 war between India and Pakistan. The film is directed by Sriram Raghavan. The trailer shows the brave heart’s fearlessness and ultimate sacrifice. 

The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan with co-producers Sharada Karki Jalota, Poonam Shivdasani, and Binny Padda; the screenplay is by Raghavan, Arijit Biswas, and Pooja Ladha Surti. ‘Ikkis’ star cast includes Agastya Nanda, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, in the lead alongside Dharmendra in a key role. Other stars include Jaideep Ahlawat and Simar Bhatia, and Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's niece, making her acting debut as the female lead.
