From Kannad to Hollywood debut |
Nisha Y Solanki, co-founder of the Asia Media hedge fund, The N Capitol Group, is all set to make her dream debut with a Hollywood project titled, “The Mystic.”The reportedly $45 million Hollywood sci-fi feature film project is produced by Al Muhaymin Fund, The N Capitol Group, Eternalmind Entertainment and directed by Hollywood filmmaker Nagendra Karri of the “Where are You Sophia” fame. The film is slated to go into production this fall for a 2017 release. Solanki said turning down the regional and Bollywood offers was a very tough decision. But ‘The Mystic’ is a brilliant script and it’s truly a blessing to debut in Hollywood in a challenging role. Solanki, who received her bachelor’s degree in statistics and business from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, is the daughter of actor-turned-politician C. P. Yogeshwar. She was initially supposed to make her acting debut in the Kannada film, “Ambareesha,” opposite actor Darshan, but later dropped out of the project.
