Richa Chadda will be working with Freida Pinto in her next movie, “Love Sonia,” a film based on child trafficking. This is the directorial debut of “Slumdog Millionaire” producer Tabrez Noorani.David “Life of Pi” Womark will be producing this Indo-American venture. The film is scheduled to go on floors Apr. 24 and is slated to release in 2017. The  film also stars Rajkummar Rao, Anupam Kher and Manoj Bajpayee.The film is based on real-life incidents, and the story revolves around Sonia, a young girl from a village, who gets sold by her father for money. After her disappearance, her sister Preeti goes on a mission to find her and falls into the vicious world of sex trafficking.The film will be shot mostly in Mumbai with parts being shot in Los Angeles. Two of the world’s largest anti-trafficking NGO’s — Coalition to Abolish Slavery & Trafficking and Apne Aap Woman Worldwide — have lent their support to the film.
