KJo in BOMBAY VELVET
Bollywood filmmaker and director Karan Johar will for the first time star in a full-fledged role. The Bollywood host is going all-black in Anurag Kashyap`s `Bombay Velvet`. The first look of the film shared by Johar on Twitter shows him looking everything his character Kaizad Khambatta is supposed to be - manipulative, devious and debonair. Playing a businessman in the `60s Mumbai, Johar will be shown at loggerheads with Ranbir Kapoor`s Johnny Balraj. The film also stars Anushka Sharma in a pivotal role. `Bombay Velvet` is based on a Gyan Prakash book called `Mumbai Fables`. The film is a story of Bombay in the swinging `60s and the two protagonists -- a boxer, essayed by Kapoor, and an aspiring jazz singer, played by Sharma. The film will hit theatres on May 15, 2015.
