‘Me No Pause Me Play’ based on acclaimed book on emotions of menopause
‘Me No Pause Me Play’ is film adapted from Manoj Kumar Sharma’s acclaimed book, who incidentally co-wrote the screenplay and produces the film. Not just the book, but this Bollywood film depicts the emotional highs and lows of women embracing the change of menopause. The film releases theatrically on 28 November 2025. The trailer has created a buzz among women as the subject is almost untouched in Indian cinema. It brings out in the open the otherwise often-unspoken world of menopause. It is a transformative and empowering chapter in a woman’s life. ‘Me No Pause Me Play’ is directed by Samar K Mukherjee with a powerhouse cast of Kamya Punjabi, Deepshikha Nagpal, Sudha Chandran, Aman Verma, and newcomers Amiee Misobbah and Aman Verma. Director Samar K Mukherjee says the story is “about reclaiming every stage of womanhood. Women deserve to be celebrated and heard, no matter their age”. Kamya Punjabi says the film “is opening a dialogue that should have started long ago. Aging isn’t decline. It’s discovery. This story turns a private journey into a shared, powerful experience”. Expect emotion, drama, humor, heartbreak, and hope.
