OCI card for Salma Agha

Bollywood singer and actress  Salma Agha    lent her voice to and acted in a few Bollywood films.  She  won the Filmfare Best Female Playback award in 1982 for her rendition of "Dil Ke Armaan Aansuon Mein Beh Gaye" in  "Nikaah."  She  is a UK citizen,  and has applied for an Overseas Citizen of India card.  As per the rules, a foreign national who is a child, grandchild or great-grandchild of an Indian citizen is eligible for registration as an OCI cardholder. Pakistani singer Adnan Sami was given Indian citizenship in January this year. Others who have been staying in India and working on an employment visa include Katrina Kaif, a UK citizen; Deepti Naval, a U.S. citizen; and Yana Gupta, a Czech citizen.
