Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn had given a stellar performance in the 2003film `Gangaajal` as a cop, who gets transferred to an area that isnotorious for its crime rate. After more than a decade, the PrakashJha directorial is set to get a sequel. Ajay will not play the centralcharacter in the film. Buzz is that Priyanka Chopra has been roped into essay the lead role in the sequel. Prakash Jha is known for makingsocio-political films and for this one he wanted a female protagonist.Priyanka Chopra has a role similar to the one Ajay had in `Gangaajal`.Priyanka was more than keen to take up the role as she has been anadmirer of Jha`s work as a film-maker.
