Shah Rukh "detained" at L.A. airport
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was again "detained" on Aug 12 at the Los Angeles airport, the third time in seven years that he has been stopped by US immigration officials at the country`s airports, with the actor expressing disappointment on social media. Shah Rukh tweeted :"I fully understand & respect security with the way the world is, but to be detained at US immigration every damn time really really sucks". Assistant secretary of state for south and central Asia Nisha Desai Biswal apologized for the "hassle" Khan faced at the airport. US ambassador to India Richard Verma tweeted , adding that they are "working to ensure it doesn`t happen again". Richard said ,"Your work inspires millions, including in the US". In return, Khan replied to the tweet thanking for him for the concern. "No trouble sir, respect the protocol & not expecting 2 b above it. It`s just a tad inconvenient. Thx for ur concern."
