Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor was more than happy to attend the inauguration of the seventh Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival on the evening of May 25.  She regretted for not attending it in 2015.  She said,  I am a strong supporter of basic human rights; forget LGBT rights. I think that’s what this is. Recently, British actor Ian McKellen expressed that India needs to grow up and do away with section 377 of IPC, which criminalizes homosexuality. Sonam agreed with Ian McKellen. Kapoor feels even the censor board is moving in the right direction . The very fact that  the Censor  gave ‘Neerja’ a U certificate means  that they are moving in the correct direction.
