Spain To Honour Yash Raj Films At Fitur Screen 2026

Bollywood is being wooed by Spain to make it a filming destination for world-famous Indian cinema. Spain’s reputed Fitur Screen will hold its 8th edition from 21st through 23rd January 2026 at IFEMA Madrid. While inducing Bollywood to come film in Spain, the event will honor Yash Raj Films for promoting Spain in India through Bollywood flicks. 

A special ceremony organized during Fitur Screen 2026 will feature a program of presentations and professional activities highlighting the launch of the Spain-India dual year of culture, tourism, and artificial intelligence. 

FITUR organizers say the initiative promotes collaboration with the Indian audio, visual industry, one of the largest markets in the world, through academic and professional cooperation.

Among the special invitees are His Excellency Jayant N. Khobragade, Ambassador of India to Spain, and Rishabh Chopra, honorary ambassador of the association and Head of Production, Yash Raj Films. Chopra is credited with bringing filming of several major Indian blockbusters to Spanish locations. Representatives from Spain’s Ministry of Industry and Tourism, the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service, and the Ministry of Culture will also be part of the program.

The Spain Film Commission will present a special recognition, the SFC Global Visionaries Awards, to Yash Raj Films and Atresmedia Creaciones, acknowledging their contribution to international audiovisual collaboration between Spain and India.

Another central focus of this edition will be the Experiences Programme, a strategic initiative to promote innovative and sustainable tourism products based on audiovisual locations.  Fitur Screen 2026 will also see participation from Brazil, Morelia in Mexico, and Madhya Pradesh in India, all recognized as key destinations for the audiovisual industry in Latin America and India.
