Modi hires 51,000 in Govt. jobs |
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has on 28th August 2023 handed out 51,000 appointment letters via video conference to newly hired employees in government agencies and organizations as part of the Rozgar Mela, or Employment Fair of the government. Modi said that for any economy, all sectors must expand, from food to pharma, from startups to space. The Indian Prime Minister called the new employees as "Amrit Rakshaks,” or employees who will now start moving India to the `Amrit Kala` that he often mentions as the next 25 years of India`s journey to clock 100 years of Independence. "Several adjustments have been made to the paramilitary recruitment procedure to provide fresh opportunities for our kids. I make this assurance with full responsibility because I believe that India will join the top three economies in the world this decade, Modi said during the job announcement ceremony. By 2030, he predicted that the tourist sector would contribute more than $20 billion to the Indian economy and may add 130 - 140 million new employment. Modi has also predicted that "there will be huge job opportunities created in the days to come," noting that the automotive and pharmaceutical sectors have been expanding extremely quickly. He mentioned quote "We launched Jan Dhan Yojana nine years ago on this day, and the scheme has played a key role in job creation in addition to financial benefits” end quote.
