India to launch Fast Track Immigration Clearance for OCI at Delhi airport
Indian Government has confirmed that for the first time ever a program to fast track arriving passengers has been launched from Delhi airport. Called the FTI-TTP program it is a boon for Indian Diaspora Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders besides Indian nationals. It cuts down long wait and queues. Officials confirmed this would facilitate inward bound passengers. It is more secure for both the Government and travelers. One needs to apply but it can be done online. Applicants get confirmation in about a month. Like with other foreign travel requirements applicants` passports must be valid for six months or more. The facility term will be co-terminus with passport validity. Delhi Airport becomes the first Indian airport to launch the Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP). It was inaugurated by the Minister of Home Affairs, Amit Shah at Delhi airport`s IGI Terminal 3.
