Modi`s first signature as 3rd time PM gives $ 2.41 bn to farmers |
After being sworn in as Prime Minister for the 3rd time, Indian PM Narendra Modi put his signature on his new government`s first file authorising release of 17th instalment of PM Kisan Nidhi for the farmers. This federal government scheme benefits 93 million farmers to distribute to them $ 2.41 billion. After signing the file, Modi said “Ours is a Government fully committed to Kisan Kalyan or farmers` welfare. It is therefore fitting that the first file signed on taking charge is related to farmers. We want to keep working even more for the farmers and the agriculture sector in the times to come”.
