Emergency COVID-19 Russia aid reaches Delhi |
The first batch of emergency humanitarian aid from Russia reached New Delhi on 29th April. Russia`s Ambassador to India, Nikolay Kudashev, said that the Russian Federation decided to send humanitarian assistance to India in the spirit of the special and privileged strategic partnership between the two countries as well as in the context of the bilateral anti COVID19 cooperation. He added that two urgent flights operated by Russian EMERCOM, had arrived in New Delhi. It has brought oxygen concentrators, lung ventilation equipment, bedside monitors, medicines, including Coronavir and other essential pharmaceutical items. The Ambassador said the only way to defeat COVID19 is by uniting and supporting each other in difficult times. The joint fight against the COVID19 threat is one of the most important areas of Russia-India cooperation at present, he added. Russia sincerely empathizes with the Indian people due to our traditionally warm and friendly relations, he added.
