India to build digital platform to track COVID vaccination |
India is fighting hard in its fight with the Covid-19 pandemic. With a recovery rate exceeding 84%, more than 80 million COVID tests have been conducted so far. All this was made effective and possible with the help of digital technology. India`s AROGYA SETU app was a game-changer in the fight against the virus and has been appreciated by the world community. Now with the growing chances of a vaccine arriving soon India has already been focusing on building a digital platform to track effective vaccine administration and movement, from procurement to storage, to distribution to individual beneficiaries. India is also developing online training modules for health workers and vaccinators. India is one of the most favorites in terms of developing an indigenous Covid-19 vaccine. Besides, it is also in talks with Russia for its Sputnik V vaccine. The digital platform will ensure fast and effective distribution and tracking of the vaccine as the govt is planning to procure 500 million doses of Coronavirus vaccine by July next year to inoculate about 250 million people. With a gradual decline in the daily new cases from last week, India has been focussing on increasing the Covid-19 testing, and further strengthening its fight against the virus.
