No compulsory quarantine in Mumbai for UAE visitors |
International passengers arriving from the UAE, including Dubai, in the Indian city of Mumbai, are now exempted from compulsorily seven-day home quarantine and RT-PCR on arrival. The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai said these directions will be enforced with effect from midnight on January 17, 2022. The authorities had on December 29 made it mandatory for those arriving from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including Dubai, in Mumbai to undergo 7-day home quarantine and an on-arrival RT-PCR test. The announcement states that no special SOPs henceforth will be applicable for passengers coming from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) including Dubai. These passengers will follow guidelines applicable to international travellers arriving from countries other than those at-risk. The relaxation follows the fact that daily Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra`s capital city Mumbai declined to 10,661 on January 15.
