Ganga Expressway 594 km Likely to Open by Early 2026 in Uttar Pradesh
The Uttar Pradesh government may complete and open the landmark 594-kilometer Ganga Expressway in early 2026. The largest state of India with the highest population is attempting to scale infrastructure and boost industry, tourism, and logistics corridors. This is bound to help the industrial economy besides impacting socio-economic development. The final stages of construction are reported for Meerut to Prayagraj for 12 districts as a central pillar of the state’s high-speed road network. The state government is deploying and using the latest technologies to monitor construction for quality and timeliness. Similar focus and strategy will be used for the 91.35-kilometer Gorakhpur Link Expressway. The new corridor with specific industrial clusters will serve the people along the route and prevent migration by offering overall development and new employment. Planned industrial clusters along the Ganga Expressway are at Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Budaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, and Prayagraj.
