India Africa Day Gala - 2 |
The India Africa Day Gala on 22nd April 2016 in New Delhi was co-hosted by NDMC, poised to become the first Smart City of India. NDMC houses the President’s House, Parliament, Prime Minister’s Residence, almost all Ministerial buildings, government offices and several major institutions and monuments. The Gala event ran 6.30pm -12midnight on 22nd April 2016, starting with networking cocktails followed by sit down dinner and cultural performances by Indiansand Africans, and finally Bollywood and African Contemporary performances.Africa is the next frontier for growth and development and offers the best return on investment. The India-Africa global partnership has stood the test of time since the Non Aligned Movement. Africa now looks to India’s leadership as the world embraces a paradigm shift. We relish the bond with India created by thenearly 200-year-old Indian Diaspora led by none other than Mahatma Gandhi. India has committed to help provide affordable and globally acclaimed education, technology and innovation and best practices to create impact development for the bottom of the pyramid people in Africa. We encourage Indian businesses especially SMEs to trade and invest in Africa, with focus on Food and Energy security, skill development and more.
