Donald Trump Likely to Visit India in 2027; PM Narendra Modi Expected to Visit US in December 2026
US President Donald Trump is likely to visit India in 2027, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the USA in December 2026. Despite sceptics casting a shadow on Indo-US ties, officials on both sides point to positive signs of a growing bilateral relationship. US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor has once again told the media that the USA is ready to warmly welcome Prime Minister Modi to visit again. Gor had announced recently, and Indian officials confirm that US Secretary Marco Rubio presented an invitation to Prime Minister Modi from President Trump. Modi will likely attend the G20 Summit in the USA in December 2026. Gor has been a confidant of President Trump. He has said time and again that President Trump has told Prime Minister Modi he would like to move forward with the interim bilateral trade agreement that Gor said would be finalised 'sooner rather than later'. The recent visit of US Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer has been able to narrow down issues, but scores of items and their legal issues need to be closed.
