Free transport for KABALI
A collector of one of the districts in the Union Territory of Puducherry in South India has found an ingenious way to encourage people to use public services. Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi tweeted that the collector is offering free tickets of the upcoming Rajinikanth film ‘Kabali’ to all those who make use of the public services provided by the government. The Lieutenant Governor added that the trick was working. So, she thought of requesting Rajinikanth to take up the cause and become the brand ambassador of Prosperous Puducherry so that it can be open defecation free. Rajinikanth, who enjoys a cult following in the state has enormous influence among the people. His films, over the years, have generated massive buzz both at the box office and on the streets. Incidentally, `Kabali` is a gangster-drama film where super star Rajnikanth is playing a Malaysian gangster Don Kabali. The southern state has earmarked a large sum for building toilets to make it free from open defecation.
