Delhi–Varanasi Bullet Train to Start from Sarai Kale Khan Station

Outer Delhi’s well-known Sarai Kale Khan area will be the junction for the Delhi–Varanasi High-Speed Rail that will connect 12 cities. The station will integrate with Delhi Metro, Nizamuddin Railway Station, and RRTS and serve as a major transit hub.

The Delhi station at Sarai Kale Khan is a key change in the project's plan. The bullet train corridor will cut travel time between Delhi and Varanasi to around four hours.

There are future plans to link the corridor to Dwarka as part of a broader national high-speed rail network. The Railway Ministry has proposed three high-speed rail corridors from Delhi, including the Delhi–Varanasi route.

The 813-kilometer Delhi–Varanasi line will connect key cities such as Noida, Jewar (International Airport), Mathura, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Kannauj, Lucknow, Ayodhya (via a link), Rae Bareli, Prayagraj, and Bhadohi.
