India-EU Summit 2026: PM Modi Says Free Trade Agreement Strengthens Strategic Partnership
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the visit of President of the European Council Antonio Costa and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the Free Trade Agreement strengthen India’s partnership with Europe. India and the European Union on 27 January 2026 signed 13 agreements and arrangements on trade, security, defense, mobility, clean energy, science, and disaster management during the 16th India-EU Summit in this visit.
