Maharashtra Deputy Cm Ajit Pawar Died In Plane Crash
Five persons, including pilots, security persons, and NCP leader and also Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra state Ajit Pawar, died in a tragic plane crash on the morning of 27 January 2026. The plane was flying from Mumbai to Baramati. The small aircraft crashed near Baramati airport during a landing attempt. Pawar was en route to attend four important public meetings ahead of the local body polls. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation said all five passengers on board died in the crash. The 66-year-old was the nephew of veteran politician and NCP founder Sharad Pawar and the cousin of Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule.
