Ram Charan Reveals Cartilage Tear During Kushti Shoot at Peddi Trailer Launch
South Indian and Bollywood star Ram Charan’s much-awaited film ‘Peddi’ trailer was launched. Ram Charan is seen as a cricketer, wrestler, and sprinter in a never-before-seen avatar of the darling actor. Ram admits that he gave it all to the film and the character he was playing. At the ‘Peddi’ trailer launch, Ram Charan talks about filming with real Indian wrestlers, called pehelwans, instead of trained artists. While playing kushti, Hindi for wrestling, director Buchi Babu Sana insisted on working with real pehelwans. That’s how, admits Ram Charan, he got a cartilage tear from which he has recovered. But the actor recounts the filming as worth it, and a beautiful memory of 'Peddi'. ‘Peddi’ is a rural action-sports drama. The protagonist, played by Ram Charan, is a sports buff. The trailer shows a rustic setup but throws up a beautiful raw, rooted energy from the village. Ram Charan is a crossover athlete, as a wrestler, cricketer and sprinter who earns a living through physical prowess. ‘Peddi’ is not just about the physical; it is as much about balancing the emotional side. Producers say the film is made for the big screen and promise fun and action. ‘Peddi’ stars Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on June 4.
