An emotional Modi talks to astronaut Shukla in ISS |
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had an emotionally uplifting conversation on 28 June 2025 with the Shubhanshu Shukla, first-ever Indian astronaut aboard the international space station (ISS). In the virtual exchange, Modi congratulated him on behalf of India. Modi told Shukla “you are furthest from motherland but closest to Indian hearts". Shukla hailed Modi`s leadership, adding he loved seeing India from space and was sharing Indian desserts with his mates on board.
